Treasurer Jim Chalmers and Albo have a unique disrespect for the intelligence of Australian voters.

It's a Labor elitism. The belief that they, as career politicians, know better than every Australian.

And it's why Chalmers proudly declared that Aussies will forget the fuss over their budget. Albo agrees. According to them, by the next election, all will have been forgiven.

It's true that the news and politics moves on very quickly. But this budget is different: it has lasting effects on the economy that is robbing Aussies of opportunity for years to come.

Every extra tax is a reminder of what Labor took from hard-working Aussies.

And when it's our money, it’s just not something voters can easily throw away.
