CSIRO’s bombshell report on the cheapest form of energy

The CSIRO is Australia’s government-funded science agency. Here are the key findings from its annual GenCost report:

  • New coal plants and more gas is the cheapest form of energy

  • By 2050, the CSIRO predicts coal would cost $124 per megawatt hour, whereas renewables would cost $131 per megawatt hour

  • This represents at minimum, a 5% difference in cost

Our take: Affordable and abundant energy is life. It has made us prosperous for a long time.

The more we’re blinded by green ideology, the more we’ll destroy what has made Australia so great.

Universities grilled for allowing hate on campus

As part of the ongoing Bondi royal commission, vice chancellors representing Australia’s top universities were grilled. Here’s some of what was revealed:

  • Activists at the University of Melbourne held votes in class on the Middle East conflict and recorded student responses without their consent

  • 20 masked protestors intruded and occupied Jewish academic Steven Prawer’s office, which he feared was a “terrorist attack”

“Worst-case scenario” for major parties: leaked Victorian election poll

A leaked poll commissioned by the unions reveals One Nation could gain 19 seats, reducing the major parties to 25 seats in the worst-case scenario for Labor and the Liberals.

The most recent polls also show:

  • Labor and the Liberals remain tied in primary vote support

  • However, Jacinta Allan is significantly more unpopular with her popularity at -36
