Good morning,
It’s Friday, 3rd of July.

Here’s what’s happening in the world of Auspol:

  • Labor MPs call for wealth tax

  • Parliament rises for winter break

  • Andrew Hastie preparing his next move

  • “I’m deeply sorry”: Victoria’s corruption saga continues

Labor MPs call for wealth tax

“We don’t stand for equality of outcomes.”

This is what Albo reportedly said in response to Labor MPs demanding a wealth tax. It’s a dangerous thing to even think about.

A wealth tax would further remove any incentive to work hard, smashing our economy and business.

And who decides what is wealth? Who is wealthy enough to be taxed? That just gives more control to Labor.

For now, Albo’s shut down the discussion. He can’t take anymore controversy.

But when the winds change, we know Labor will be back for more.

Parliament rises for winter break

On the last day of Parliament before the winter break, Albo strutted around and pointed fingers with his usual arrogance.

He mocked the Opposition leader for a flimsy speech.

He defended Minister for Defence Industry Pat Conroy, who insulted Liberal party founder and hero Robert Menzies.

And of course, he declared the government victorious on housing.

As the property market crashes, potentially bringing the rest of the economy with it, only time will tell if he’ll still be smiling.

Andrew Hastie preparing his next move

He’ll either quit or be the next Liberal leader.

There are whisperings that, like Senator Jonno Duniam, Hastie could depart the Liberals.

Alternatively, he’s growing increasingly angsty about the Liberals’ approach towards One Nation. Rather than working with them, Hastie wants “war.”

If this tension escalates into a fissure, Hastie could rise to replace current leader Angus Taylor.

“I’m deeply sorry”: Victoria’s corruption saga continues

Jacinta Allan wrote this pathetic article for The Age, where she again dismissed corruption claims and blamed it on “inflation.”

To put this all in writing is brave. It also reveals a disgusting pattern of the premier: a desperate attempt to deceive Victorians.

She’s starting to believe her own delusions. But voters are waking up.
