Labor MP accused of assault in more trouble
Labor MP Luke Gosling, who was accused of assault has now been charged with breaching his bail conditions.
Despite this, Albanese has refused to remove him from his position as Special Envoy for Defence.
RBA warns rate hike not off the table
The RBA has warned that despite a slowing economy and rising unemployment, a rate rise is still possible due to persistent inflation.
Opposition ridicules Ben Carroll’s savings
Victorian Premier Ben Carroll has announced a $2 billion saving for the controversial Surburban Rail Loop.
In response, Senator Bridget McKenzie has ridiculed the premier, saying “this guy is just trying to save the furniture coming into the state election.”
Albanese defends $10,000 dinner
Asked by the ABC about the high cost to meet with him for dinner, Albanese claimed Labor did not have a wealthy billionaire backing them like Gina Rinehart.
Albanese said, “election campaigns do cost money. We do have to raise money in order to campaign.”
Hastie warns “we’re fighting for our lives.”
Andrew Hastie MP says the Liberal party is fighting for its life and rejects claims that One Nation is an opportunity for the Liberals.
He said “I don’t accept this idea that a win for One Nation is a win for us.”
