Our take: Another rate rise this year would not be unexpected. Things like housing and basic essentials continue to increase in price, while the economy is limited by low productivity.
The situation isn’t helped by Labor’s excessive spending.

Luke Gosling MP has “temporarily” stepped down after being accused of assault and charged with breaking bail conditions.
The whole matter remains a significant issue for Albanese.
Victorians slugged with secret tax
A new report has exposed the Victorian Labor government for imposing a secret tax on public transport fees to pay for the Suburban Rail Loop project.
This occured when now premier Ben Carroll was transport minister in 2021.
When Carroll became premier, he claimed “integrity was non-negotiable.”
