David Farley and One Nation confusion
New One Nation MP David Farley said that his party’s migration policy was “not too different” from Labor’s with 230,000 net overseas migration. In response:
Barnaby Joyce said that it would be 130,000 and that David Farley just “misspoke” and “made a mistake”
Pauline Hanson deleted a social media post claiming a different migration target
Opposition Taylor Angus Taylor said One Nation is “all over the shop on migration” and that their goal would see migration “substantially below 200,000”
Albanese has hit out, saying “on migration, the one thing you think they could be consistent on, they’re certainly not.”
NAB boss warns of a poorer Australia
The NAB CEO has warned Australia is at risk of rapidly declining. He says that we are “stuck in a low-productivity, low growth trap.”
Productivity is at a record low and has worsened under Labor alongside economic growth.
Rents soar to record highs
Rents now cost more than half an average worker’s pay in all of Australia’s capital cities
Rents have increased dramatically since Labor came to power and are increasing further under their tax changes
Vic premier updates on SRL
Vic premier Ben Carroll suggests he is going ahead with the Suburban Rail Loop despite the massive cost and its unpopularity. The premier previously claimed “I respect your money.”
