Energy Minister Chris Bowen has spent on average over $50,000 a week on flights to promote Australia’s net zero policies. This includes:
Nearly $80,000 on a trip to Brazil and Chile
Over $50,000 travelling Asia
Over $118,000 travelling the US
A spokesperson claimed that ”international travel is used only when other communication means are deemed ineffective at pursuing the government’s agenda.”
ABC apologises for Gina Rinehart segment
The ABC boss Hugh Marks has apologised for comments about Gina Rinehart that were condemned by Labor ministers.
Marks said “the ABC apologises to Mrs Rinehart and to anyone else affected or upset by the publication of the film.”
He also said the ABC would review its policies around violent content
Pauline Hanson slams Tony Burke
Pauline Hanson has called out Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke after Labor delayed their crackdown on immigration.
She says Burke is “scared to do anything because of the attention One Nation is getting” and that she’s “living rent-free in Tony Burke’s head.”
Labor MP Ed Husic injured in “serious” car crash
Ed Husic will take leave after getting into a car crash. He released a statement saying he was “extremely grateful to walk away from the accident without more serious injury.”
Ed Husic MP was recently in the headlines for calling out his own party for blocking debate on the Middle East.
